Managing the 4th Dimension: Class 3
We flowed forward from roles & core identity and then dove right into how we felt about it.
Emotions: Coloring Your World
I had received feedback that there needed to be more info on roles and so after a little talking, we went right into the first meditative exercise which I kept at a fairly fast moving pace so there is no dwelling or immersion or over-identitifying… only impressions:
- Relax and focus on your heart-space
- Moving from I Am to contrasting archetypal roles (seconds only allowed to jot down 1 or 2 word impressions if you wished)
- Back to the heart and the I Am
We evaluated the difference between a “bottom-up” approach versus a “top-down” approach and looked at various modalities and tools that can help us achieve the fastest improvement in quality of life.
Addressed also are different lower energy field consequences of different emotional states that we experience from:
- From feeling drained to having your field warp
- From having energy congestion to reversal patterns
- From having emotional release or unity to productive channelling of your energy
- Appreciation of your unique mental / emotional field balance
As an exercise in observing our emotional progressions, we went through many patterns of three emotions. It reminds me of reading a good book because my mind was wanting a story to go along with each series of three. It was an interesting example of how we aren’t our thoughts & emotions and yet we have them for our expression.
Lastly we went over “energetic echos” over the timeline with a reminder that it is all about THE JOURNEY… and all we can do is Our Best and Hold True to Ourselves!
Managing the 4th Dimension: Class 2
Who do you think you are? This is the key inquiry of this second class…
Roles: Archetypes & Your True Self
Knowing yourself is tougher than it seems. You are a deep and complex individual needing to express yourself through the infinte nature of Existence and solidified in the constricting nature of Reality. How do you even begin to identify your true nature? With mental & emotional constructs & belief systems affecting you both from others as well as your own… managing expectations and relational dynamics – how do you make sense of it all?
There is a personal evolutionary exercise suggested in this class… with pen and paper throughout this talk, you are asked to write personal commentary on who you think you are…
- sibling, parent, co-worker
- artist, athelete, scientist
- what is at your core that you can’t quite put your finger on?
The shadow and the light are explored. The positive and the negative are explored. Where is your personal truth in all of this? Where is your sense of self dependent… and more importantly, where is it free?
We express our higher truth through our 3D presence and our expression of this, our roles in the world, can be expressed from the highest place possible or we can settle.
Who are you?
Managing the 4th Dimension: Class 1
Managing 4D : Time (Past, Present & Future)
Time: Flexible & Infinite
Although it is an exercise in perspective, it is so much more. Through the perspective of a lifetime we have the evolution of wisdom. Through the exploration of life through time we create richness and fulfillment. We can use it to give ourselves rest and motivation.
Time is a tool. Time cushions us. Time allows us conscious growth in an incremental way that is largely in our control as to how we wish to accelerate and slow our process.
Included is a meditative exercise included that walks you through the process of
- aligning with your core,
- resolving a past event or circumstance,
- influencing the future for the
- empowerment of our goals in the present through choice.
You have a personal rhythm that needs to be honored across time. You have ages and stages in your personal evolution. Faster is not better. Slow doesn’t mean you are soaking up more life. Being true to your personal pace is the only thing important in getting into and staying in flow.

Deborah said it was a Gift From the Universe in discovering Touch Drawing. I feel like I’ve received this to be able to share Touch Drawing out further! It is a fascinating technique that centers around the core of your Being and is expressed through a series of images that flow out of your hands. It is somatic – a felt sense, art or a picture is a byproduct.
Self Exploration, Therapy, Individual and Community
The above are all words that can describe Deborah’s work.
- It isn’t a therapy, but it can be used by therapists
- It can be facilitated one : one, in a group or be a solo exploration
- It can be embraced by anyone, not just artists
Touch Drawing can stand alone as an art and increase the depth that an artist can reach, and yet she has many stories of people with challenges who use it to express and open doors of insight. The magic isn’t in the perfection of the drawing, but in the process of creating and she walked us through a description of what that would look like… the power is in the series of drawings.
The applications are so diverse… we talked about:
- corporate use for hospital administrators or those in health care
- health challenges: physical, mental / emotional… like autism, Parkinson’s, depression, grief
- exploring concepts like nature, lectures and music
Deborah’s mandate is to share the technique and allow it to grow and live through the creative expressions of others. Although she’s written a Facilitator Workbook, there is no ‘teacher certification’ process that she requires. We compared it to parenting and her Center for Touch Drawing to be just that – a Center where people can gather and compare, share and celebrate.

I got way broader information than I dreamed when I decided to lead in with a question of how plants related to his elective course on Mayan Prophecy!
Medicinal Mushrooms, Herbs & Flower Essences
He’s studied with shamans, has a Ph.D., is a Master Herbalist and has an enlightening perspective on plants, fear and making independent, informed choices.
What a gift to be able to consider the wisdom of the plant kingdom:
- We learned that mushrooms have ancient and developed memory out to 899 generations (but not beyond)
- Flowers only have positive emotion, even Bleeding Hearts and the scentless ‘essence’ is different from the ‘essential oil’
- Each plant has a personality that needs to be considered in recommending treatment and approach to health
Herbology can be taken at the most superficial chemical level, or deeper and deeper (or higher and higher) in honor and approach especially considering we are global citizens who have independence and the ability to choose our way of honoring ourselves and others.
Flower essences in particular assist in balancing our emotions which, along with the herbs can help protect us from all that life throws at us from H1N1 to the economy.
It’s amazing to think that plants can help us with everything from feeling overwhelmed to immunity support.

December 2009 – Death
Originally written and sent via email newsletter 28 Nov 09.
…………………………
This is different from the ‘pop-up’s’ that I reported about the last time, not that the difference is easy to tell without putting your finger directly on it. I almost don’t want to talk about it, but I must…
It’s Death
There were some foreshocks, but today and yesterday there were some earthquakes in the ethers that landed hard. It’s not done, either… we can expect more quakes through the beginning of the week and not until then will the aftershocks begin. Sound promising? It is!
The first thing that I want you to know is that you can transform quickly through this. No, not the death part. That goes in a linear sense, but you can choose to spring quickly out of the ashes.
It will be ugly if you stand engulfed in flame worrying about how hot the lava is.
Instead, bump your energy up a notch or two and UNITE with the flame, passionate and consuming, but without vengeance or aim. The earth is a natural force (um.. ‘nature’… ‘the forces of nature’) and as with any ‘force’ it can be used, if you take care. Care is, as always, a key component in whatever I tell you.
What are some signs and symptoms?
- crying and lots of it. (with accompanying tantrums loud or silent)
- dying machinery (no it’s not just my own personal technological issues this time)
- *drastic transition both chosen and surprise
What is the theme or triggering root?
In a word: *responsibility*
This would seem to be contrasting, if you’ve been paying attention… (what in 3D isn’t?)
How does a BEing Flame take responsibility for burning? This is, after all, what I’m telling you the ‘antidote’ to this energy trend is… If it just IS, how does it take responsibility?
Let’s parallel fire to a lower human system.
- Directing this through thoughts and emotions would be a manipulation.
- Flowing with it is a Sacred honoring. Why?
Look at the fire as a triad. Yes, I learned the Zen of Fire at a profound level when I was a forest firefighter. (Remind me to tell you of the time I burned my eyelashes off.)
Fire is a relationship of Heat, Fuel, Air. Lose any one of those and you no longer have fire. You might still have the lava, but not the fire. It is the hyper-focus on anyone of the three that will cause an imbalance and it will ultimately destroy itself. Believe it or not, it happens with people, too. This is where the affirmation, “I am not my emotions,” and the like come in.
In order for it to be in Sacred Flow, it must honor itself through the All of what It Is uniquely each flare up. Back to elemental nature forces… think in terms of breath which ‘offers’ itself to us to become integrated within our systems, used, exhausted and recycled. That’s the flow. You simply *can’t force it. It never looks the same, so don’t buy into it. *With care, you can offer artificial respiration to somebody in distress, but you can’t make them live.
Now we’re full circle back to death. Consider it an offering. Don’t skip ahead to the rebirth too soon. Be Present to the Sacred transitions and when it is done, you can be done and move fluidly onto whatever’s next. Don’t linger either. Stay present. Unfold & evolve with Honor.
With Love and Encouragement, Nina
