LOH: Libby Adams
Wow! What a call… it had no shortage of information for the logical, conscious, choosing mind and a couple of exercises: an imagining and a meditation for the subconscious, symbolic mind. And there’s an elephant that nobody’s talking about…
The Three Versions of You
There’s the Spiritual You with vibratory life force and there’s the Human you in two sub-categories: the conscious and the sub-conscious. Libby further explained the existence and co-existence of information that we store in our minds at different levels.
The different levels communicate differently: the logical / conscious communicates in words and the emotional / subconscious communicates in imagery & symbol (or pictures). Libby’s Transformational Meditation technique can also be called ‘picture replacement therapy’ because it works on the subconscious governing emotional layer. Libby walked us through an experiential exercise to feel the reality of the imagery going on within us.
This is a key point because this is why affirmations aren’t enough. You can say it & say it & say it and if it doesn’t line up with your internal imagery and emotion, it will have no lasting effect due to the different ‘languages.’
In her Transformational Meditation, The “Big I” is the central point that is All. It is a.k.a. God / Higher Self / Buddah / Universe… Bottom line: it is the frequency that assists in healing because it exists on a different level than the level where the ‘problem’ was created. The problem would be considered mud, a sub-conscious story, a separated or “Little i” that covers up the Diamond that we each are.
To give us a better understanding of the power of this, she walked us through a meditation to meet “The captain of our ship” and “The Big I.”
I loved it and my “Big I” was a Flower (! unexpected) and my “captain” was a pirate! (Arrr!) Through this meditation we also received a message (mine was in a bottle) and we received a gift (I got a pillow). Not to worry if you aren’t visual though, TFM can help you too!

After listening to Libby talk about the different layers of communication and how using all my senses with anything gives the full impact and experience, I can then say that I am truly living it. I can now see that words are just words and they mean nothing unless I can truly feel and see them inside of me. What does Love mean, what does it feel like, what does it taste like, what does it look like etc. My perception and importance of Love will be different from anyone else. It’s like when I smell cookies baking that it brings back to my childhood when my Mom would bake cookies and I got to help her. Why should a smell trigger anything, because it can, just like a smile or kind word can.
Dear Mary Anne,
The senses really do become infused with meaning and I understand that some people will work with this deliberately. What comes to mind is aromatherapy and how, as an example, you could study for a class with a particular scent and then take the exam and bring the same scent with you to stimulate the memory.
It’s wonderful that you are honoring your personal experience.
All the best, Nina
