LOH: Rue Hass

You are as good as gold! And this, in turn, is trans-formative for all of humanity. According to Rue Hass, healing is a co-creative journey and this is the perspective she takes in her work.

Emotional Freedom Technique for Spirit

Rue noted that sensitive people tend to take things in more deeply than any other temperament – both good and bad. She would like you to see your sensitivity as a strength. So often we look for what is wrong with us and try to get rid of it, but shifting the perspective can make all the difference to your health.

EFT is a technique based on the meridian system and implements gentle tapping in specific spots with customized statements to heal the emotions.

Rue walked us through a 20 minute example (!) of what can be done with EFT and she noted that this was not standard but customized to her approach and my request.

There are 4 main foundations to Rue’s unique work: EFT, NLP, Hypnosis & her time at Findhorn in Scotland.

Health approached with the question, “Will it fix me?” gives the power to the: modality / pill / surgery / professional. Rue suggested that healing arises from a heartful intention in the relationship with all interacting components.

Emotions such as anger, sadness, grief and shame can limit us in our lives and erode our health.

Selfishness is often seen as a characteristic to be avoided – especially for big-hearted and sensitive people. It can also be defined as: Caring for Ourselves which Rue believes to be ‘distilled Soul’ and therefore Self Care = Soul Care.

This great interview with Rue Hass has thought me to be more of myself and love myself instead of identifiy myself with my shortcoming. I particularly liked that EFT is a modality that I can do myself without the need for any therapist. This is a great self-help tool that will help me clear my stuff.

  • Nina:

Thanks for your comments, Paul! That shift in perspective would be life changing and I’m glad you brought it up.
    Warmly, Nina

This talk was a real eye-opener for me. I had not experienced EFT before and loved it! Even better, it really works!! I have sought out more EFT videos on Youtube and have been working on changing some beliefs and loving myself! From Rue’s website, I have signed up and listened to more of her tapping seminars. I felt totally loved and vindicated when in one of her talks, she spoke about those of us who are extremely sensitive and that we should love and honor that part of ourselves…it is special! Instead of allowing others to make us feel it is a flaw!!

  • Nina:

    Dear Dawn,
You might enjoy her book about EFT for the sensitive person called “This is Where I Stand.” I bought it in preparation for the interview and found it very useful, not just for the call, but for life. Sensitivity is definitely Not a flaw!
    Best wishes, Nina
