LOH: John Van Auken
Edgar Cayce’s Association of Research & Enlightenment is a wealth of information and it is incredibly fortunate that we are able to find out about Meditation from one of their top experts, John Van Auken.
Meditation
When John first started meditating he wanted “zapping energy” & “total psychic wisdom” not more humility & patience. Although a variety of physical phenomena & spectacular experience can happen when you meditate, in the long run it is the quiet stillness that is the resulting state. It is like listening.
Where do you start? There are 3 keys:
- consistent time
- consistent place
- perseverance
University studies have shown that Meditation is more rejuvenating than sleep. Our physical bodies are designed for affects in the physical as well as the metaphysical. John described influencing pathways to do with the:
- Central nervous system
- Autonomic nervous system
- Endocrine system
- Chakra system (the Cayce system is a little different than most)
There are as many ways to meditate as there are meditators due to the uniqueness of each individual, however there are some fundamentals that will work for most.
John gave us examples of different types of meditators as far as sensory experience, but also made the point that our waking consciousness in our day to day lives is important & purposeful and that you don’t want to meditate your life away.

LOH: Grant Connolly
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. What a great key word to implement easy, peaceful change in life! What a powerful guided process Grant took us through!
ZPoint for Peace
The Z represents a place of balance and a place where everything exists. It encompasses where the Truth lives & both sides of duality. It is beyond emotional upset and Grant and I talked about it as a “tranquil” izer.
Grant shared that the core component of the process is to let the subconscious do the transforming once the process is in place. The process is all about letting go of what isn’t truly you so that the joy or the positive aspects can shine through.
- It’s heart stuff – not mind stuff
- You don’t think it – you know it
- It’s not about the story – it’s not talk therapy… but you feel the story
It’s a program that is read into your subconscious mind to let go of difficult feelings that are triggered. Healing intention that is activated by a special word. Symbols to work on broad areas of upset and not just one emotion at a time.
There can be feeling around:
- A time in life
- A relationship feeling
- A characteristic feeling of a circumstance.
We develop subconscious patterns over time, sometimes early in life & we act can on a ‘secondary gain‘ such as procrastination which puts in conflict with ourselves. ZPoint is a quick and easy protocol about making peace with these parts & letting go of limiting beliefs in order to free ourselves, making this perfect for activating the Law of Attraction. Root beliefs include:
- I dont’ have permission
- If i get “it,” it will cause me more grief than it’s worth
- I don’t deserve it
With our thoughts and emotions so tied together, this gives us the ability to have the fullness of our emotions without self-identifying with any of them or sabotaging ourselves. Also, Grant says that the more we do it, the better it gets: including the positive physical effects of stress reduction.
Grace & Care Meditation
Setting the Sacred Intentions at the beginning of the meditation is one of my favorite parts… the end is the other! Thank you Suzanne Holman for making the original request.
Centering in Your Being through Grace & Care
There is no foundation if you are not Centered in your Being. What does that mean anyways?
It is like a compass and so very often in our lives concerns come up and we redirect our compass to externals like: relationships, money & other stressors.
This meditation is quite clear about the differentiation between you and:
- the scenery & colors
- a companion you meet on the path & the guide ahead of you…
This is important because often times Big Hearted and Well Meaning People are strongly affected by the externals that have your attention and these externals can seem to become a part of you. Independence from these negative influences through compassion and care is inclusive, supportive and kind. It is in accepting this into your lives that you can offer it to others in a Greater fashion.
To be Centered and Empowered means:
- you may accept appropriate help and not be clingy
- you may express your emotions without having them rule your responses
- you will have a neutral position when expectations come up
- you are empowered to honor the situation for all it has to offer
Practice the meditation to strengthen your experiences, visualizations & imagery, and be better able to carry this intention into your life.
What scenery did you notice? What colors did you see? Was your companion male or female? Was there recognition? What was your gift?LOH: Libby Adams
Wow! What a call… it had no shortage of information for the logical, conscious, choosing mind and a couple of exercises: an imagining and a meditation for the subconscious, symbolic mind. And there’s an elephant that nobody’s talking about…
The Three Versions of You
There’s the Spiritual You with vibratory life force and there’s the Human you in two sub-categories: the conscious and the sub-conscious. Libby further explained the existence and co-existence of information that we store in our minds at different levels.
The different levels communicate differently: the logical / conscious communicates in words and the emotional / subconscious communicates in imagery & symbol (or pictures). Libby’s Transformational Meditation technique can also be called ‘picture replacement therapy’ because it works on the subconscious governing emotional layer. Libby walked us through an experiential exercise to feel the reality of the imagery going on within us.
This is a key point because this is why affirmations aren’t enough. You can say it & say it & say it and if it doesn’t line up with your internal imagery and emotion, it will have no lasting effect due to the different ‘languages.’
In her Transformational Meditation, The “Big I” is the central point that is All. It is a.k.a. God / Higher Self / Buddah / Universe… Bottom line: it is the frequency that assists in healing because it exists on a different level than the level where the ‘problem’ was created. The problem would be considered mud, a sub-conscious story, a separated or “Little i” that covers up the Diamond that we each are.
To give us a better understanding of the power of this, she walked us through a meditation to meet “The captain of our ship” and “The Big I.”
I loved it and my “Big I” was a Flower (! unexpected) and my “captain” was a pirate! (Arrr!) Through this meditation we also received a message (mine was in a bottle) and we received a gift (I got a pillow). Not to worry if you aren’t visual though, TFM can help you too!

LOH: Carol Robin
Carol discovered that there is more to health than drugs and surgery and it formed her professional direction.
Guided Imagery
Dr Robin was commented that in order to approach someone from their whole being, it starts with listening to them… listening to their body as well as their words. With no listening there can’t be any communication.
Imagery is:
- non-verbal language
- comes from imagination
- creation through our minds
Imagery is used clinically for health on many levels. Dr Robin cites examples in cancer, surgery & trauma and shared about the mind-body connection. What we tell ourselves – positive or negative has a real body impact.
Four Steps to Center is a technique Dr Robin developed to assist people in reaching a meditative state for a powerful starting place. She also made critical comments on the nature of change and evolution and honoring ourselves in each moment.
From the moment, shifts in perception can be made with as simple a technique as taking a deep breath. Dr Robin guided us through a special meditation in this call to help us understand. www.guidedcds.com
