LOH: Ingrid Elfver

Your Superstar Mission – Living Boldly Now!

This interview with Ingrid was really inspiring! Generously, she shared information on…

  • Her Muse Method
  • Her 21 Minute Daily Practice
  • Her *favourite affirmations

Ingrid has been through some difficult health challenges and it has inspired her to inspire others to live big lives!

It is usually something simple.
It isn’t always your career.
It is specific to each person and with your reach.

She believes that there can never be any competition because nobody else can do what you are meant to do and offer to the world. One key is in overcoming your negative mindset.

This message comes from a place of personal experience through difficult health challenges. I can’t imagine needing to be in a dark room for years like Ingrid did, in order to survive debilitating vertigo.

Her message is that even if you have horribly challenging situations, you can overcome them and fulfill your Superstar Mission!

LOH: Vals Fauquier

It is personal, unique and because we all see things differently, communicating with each other truly is an Art.

Communications

Vals Fauquier took us through layers of communication

  • Physical:  body language, eye contact, voice pitch
  • Emotional: detachment, not reaction
  • Mental: being present and listening fully, not deciding the response ahead of time
  • Spiritual: a heart connection and sincere interest in the highest integrity

Curiosity is a fantastic approach in communicating and can help us stay unreactive in different situations. The first place to start is with yourself, in honesty.

Our communication is colored by our past. Taking a big breath can be a tool to see more clearly so that we can hear more clearly. Real communication occurs when we bring our whole self forth.

Generously, we were walked through several communication tools:

  • A sandwich exercise: Bottom bun -> filler -> top bun
  • A  5 step conversational template to address boundaries (from Dr Phil)
  • A beautiful meditation for gaining clarity

Vals shared that a more formal approach, even in personal relationships, assists us in maintaining appreciation for those around us. It can be as simple as saying, “Thank you,” and not assuming our gratitude is understood (or anything else).
