This three-part workshop with Jill and Dan Johnson is for individuals dealing with health issues and mental or physical imbalances, as well as professionals who want to further their education to support their clients and students.
Jill and Dan have invited three special guests from the professional laughter community to share their areas of expertise with you. Together they will take you through exercises that will help unblock your energies, create flow of breath, enable you to extend the boundaries you have socially and culturally placed in your life, and begin to shift health-related issues that you may be dealing with.
LOH: Megan McDonough
I won the lottery!! 41 Million!! I’m not as nimble minded as I’d thought when Megan introduced this concept.
A Minute For Me
This minute is significant, no matter what. The value of our minutes changes with our focus and the stories we tell ourselves take us out of the magic of the minute. Even tomorrow is only a thought and it is lived in the present moment.
It is not about the ‘perfect minute’ with a cup of tea, personal stillness & comfy chair, it is about honoring each minute with its challenges & gifts.
It can be tough to assess priorities, honor our responsibilities and maintain our presence in order to make conscious decisions rather than getting caught up in our stories & habits. There were 3 things that came to mind for Megan:
- Acceptance
- Flow
- Trust
Focus and attention becomes important in directing our energy & life flow because although we have time, it can be easy to get caught up in what has happened and our reaction to it.
We discussed rhythms of life in broad strokes as well as our individual breath and honoring the beginning, the middle & the ending using the OHM as an example.
In full appropriateness, Megan took us through 3 different exercises through this talk: one at the beginning to do with perception, one in the middle to do with breath and an open ended one at the end to do with insights from the call.

The world is changing. With instant accessibility, people’s busy schedule, the economic situation, and the ability to reach a far bigger audience than you could even in the biggest cities of the world, the Web has redefined how we reach out to others.
March Magic ~ Event March 25
Here’s an invitation to see the virtual work in action – at no cost. After a very successful first-ever virtual yoga conference last month where participants raved about the ability to learn, earn, and grow in this new venue, YogaHub decided to have a no-cost encore event ~ and LOH speaker Megan McDonough is a key collaborator with them!
They took some of the best workshops from the yoga conference, added an open round table discussion about creating virtual communities, and viola – you now have access to a free day-long event for your personal and professional development! In this event, you’ll:
- Learn how to manage moods with a chakra clearing yoga series taught by Amy Weintraub.
- Listen to Nischala Joy Devi as she reveals how to directly access the lessons of Patanjali’s yoga sutras for yourself.
- Participate in an open, round table discussion about what it takes to establish a virtual community of like-minded people.
- Gain insight on living with intent in the modern world with Felicia Marie Tomasko, the editor-in-chief of LA Yoga as she teaches Ayurvedic Rejuvenation for Daily Life.
- Relax deeply with a Yoga Nidra session lead by Jennifer Reis.

There’s more to the event than just great workshops, though. It’s an opportunity for you to get a handle on the new way of doing business. Use this event as a model and ask yourself: How can I take what I teach and apply it virtually? What are other teachers doing that I can learn from in this cyberspace? Where can I plug my work into an existing web-based learning space?
The virtual world has so much more space for wild ideas, great heights, and new moves that redefine what we call “teaching yoga” and how we provide our wellness work. I look forward to “seeing” you there! Pass it on!
